Los primeros relatos orales bubis: un análisis de escritura colonial

Abstract

En junio de 1890, la revista catalana «La Veu del Montserrat» publicaba el mito bubi de la creación de los primeros hombres. En 1908, la revista misionera «La Guinea Española» hacía lo propio con el cuento, también bubi, del buen hijo. Sus recopiladores fueron los sacerdotes Josep Masferrer y León García, y son los primeros relatos orales guineanos que vieron la luz en una colonización española iniciada teóricamente en 1868. Este trabajo pretende analizar aquellos relatos y deducir los condicionantes morales, filosóficos y etnográficos en que fueron escritos; así como las manipulaciones a que fueron sometidos y que determinaron una forma de recopilar la literatura oral que se extendió por todo el período colonial, hasta hoy. In June of 1890, the Catalonian review «La Veu del Montserrat» published the Bubi myth of the appearance of the first population. In 1908, the missioner review «La Guinea Española» done the same with the tale, also Bubi, of the good son. The compilers were the clergymen Josep Masferrer and León García, and constituted the first Equatorial Guinea oral stories that saw the light in a Spanish colonization initiated theoretically in 1868. The aim of this paper is to analyze those narrations and to deduct the moral, philosophical and ethnographic conditions where they were wrote; and also the manipulations that had suffered and that determined a way to compile oral literature during all the colonial period until today.
