Formação de quadros superiores moçambicanos em Portugal: Trajetórias, identidades e redes sociais

Abstract

Neste artigo analisam-se as trajetórias individuais e familiares de quadros superiores moçambicanos formados em Portugal, procurando compreender os fatores que influenciaram os seus percursos escolares e qual o impacto da experiência de formação em Portugal ao nível dos processos de estruturação identitários. Reflete-se sobre as redes sociais e de cooperação no domínio do ensino superior que influenciaram a ida, a integração em Portugal e posteriormente a reintegração e os percursos profissionais dos informantes em Moçambique. Por último, a análise aborda questões relacionadas com o impacto da formação superior de moçambicanos em Portugal no processo de desenvolvimento de Moçambique.

This article analyzes the individual and family trajectories of Mozambicans who have attended universities in Portugal. It seeks to understand the factors that have influenced their educational background and the impact that higher education in Portugal has had in terms of their identity formation. The paper also analyzes issues related to the cooperative social networks influencing their decision to pursue higher education in Portugal, their integration into Portuguese society, and their subsequent reintegration and professional careers in Mozambique. Finally, the article addresses the impact that higher education of Mozambicans in Portugal has had on the national development of Mozambique.
