A estratégia marítima integrada de África 2050: uma nova dimensão para a segurança marítima africana

Abstract

Os mares e os oceanos sempre constituíram uma importante fonte de recursos e consequentemente de conflitos, sendo fundamentais para o desenvolvimento e para a segurança das comunidades que dependem do mar para sua subsistência…assim é atualmente em muitos países do continente Africano. Segundo este paradigma, a Estratégia Marítima Integrada de África 2050 constitui o garante e o compromisso institucional da União Africana (e de toda a África) para esse desiderato, contribuindo a longo prazo, para reforçar o desenvolvimento e segurança marítima no Domínio Marítimo Africano, constituindo, em nossa opinião, uma nova dimensão para a segurança marítima em África.

The seas and oceans have always been an important source not only of resources but also of conflict. They are essential to the security and development of communities that depend on the sea for their livelihood in many African countries. The Africa's 2050 Integrated Maritime Strategy represents the support for and commitment of the African Union (and African states) to this issue. In the long run they will help to strengthen African maritime development and security. In our view, this constitutes a new dimension in maritime security in Africa.
